Looks like a lighting issue to me. The rock there looks almost photonegative.

looks like part the girl got cropped to focus more on the dragonborn. Also they fixed the blue. Its darker and less chromatic and could be translucent. I cant tell.

Probably lighting, since remember these covers are raised as well. So that will mess with lighting.

Looks like the characters / Dragon have be glossed, while the background is matte or satin finish.

The DMG appeared at my desk on Monday, followed by the PH yesterday and the MM today. That's right...first-bound s, hot off the press, real full-color hardback 4th Edition rulebooks, sitting right here in front of me. In nine days, it will have been three years since this odyssey began. Unbelievable. I can't wait to start playing D&D with real books. Believe me, printouts covered with red marks get old fast. I know that y'all still have six weeks of waiting, and I empathize. But today, I revel without shame. ROLL INITIATIVE!

This is basically confirmation of availability for the scene considering it means pdf torrents should be coming out by the weekend for all three books, unless they do printing in house (which would be a good idea to keep a rap on the product until the main release).

I highly doubt that there will be torrents for 4E until someone physically scans the books like so many 3.5E books were done. WotC has gotten pretty good about keeping the lid on projects and securing their projects going to print.
