I highly doubt that there will be torrents for 4E until someone physically scans the books like so many 3.5E books were done. WotC has gotten pretty good about keeping the lid on projects and securing their projects going to print.

I think there would be a tight lib, but with a printing this big, I could see a leak and it does only take one.

If there is, I hope WOTC doesnt take it too personally. Probably best not to talk about it.

Annnnnyway, the books look nice and chunky.

Directly after posting this, James Wyatt went home and lit up in front of fifty dead sober stoners he had chained to the walls just to experience the feeling of posting this picture again.

I have to say, 100% improvement over the feux tome covers. My quibbles are so small compared to that as to not be worth mentioning, so I won't.

edit: also like to add that the gloss-on-matte finish makes the covers. For a moment, I had to wonder if it was the same art.

Indeed. I was worried from the Amazon placeholder pic for the gift set that the books looked kinda thin. Good to see my worries were unfounded.

Those look fairly transportable. I do much of my gaming from a laptop; part of the Deciding Factor for me will be how they ship the electronic copies.

Oh, who am I kidding? I'm buying those puppies, come hell or high water -- but part of what decides my level of back pain is the electronic copies' format.
