Pictures of Quah-Nomag?

the Jester

Legend
Like, where can I find one?

Quah-Nomag is an npc featured in Dead Gods and referenced in the BoVD, but I have neither one handy. I am looking to find a pic to either use as a basis for a drawing of my own or to straight up show to the pcs, depending on how much I like it.

Thanks!

Funny, I just stated him out because the players are only a few sessions away from encountering him in the Dead Gods game I'm running.

There is also another picture of him in the Dead Gods book in the last chapter besides the one already posted.

For some reason I recall he originally showed up in another 2E product, maybe Reverse Dungeon? I could be mistaken, but if I'm not you might find a picture of him in that book as well.

I think you're misremembering here - Dead Gods was published in 1997, whereas Reverse Dungeon was a 2000 product, one of the last for 2E, I believe.

Unless I'm mistaken, Quah-Nomag debuts in Dead Gods and doesn't show up again until 3E's Book of Vile Darkness, with a later mention in Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss.

I probably do not rememeber the order, but for some reason I believe I read about a monster who was the last faithful worshipper of Orcus and it was in a non-Planescape type product during the 2E days.

But that's so long ago I could be mixed up. Nowadays, if it isn't related to whichever class I'm taking or whatever a professor said, it is difficult for me to invest the brain power B-)

Could you possibly be thinking of Return to the Tomb of Horrors? That product was written so that its background intersected with that of Dead Gods, one of which was noting that in the past, the living Acererak had had something to do (this was deliberately ambiguous) with a being known as "Tenebrous" - which was an interesting anachronism right there, since Orcus only took that title as a contemporary moniker, not back in the past when Acererak was alive.
