Curse you Piratecat!!

There was a time...long ago...when I'd never read a Story Hour thread at all. Now I'm hooked on Old One's, occasionally Doc Midnight's, and I'm sure yours as well.

The upside of course, is that I'll always have something to read during those late night diaper and feeding sessions set to begin any day now :p .

Ooo, ooo, they will be more fun than you expected!

(Plane Sailing, still subject to recent "parental bonding" ritual)

Cheers

I just thouht I'd point out that my baby (now four months) has slept 8 hours straight at night ever since he was about six weeks old, tying the record of longest gap for our kids before sleeping that long (my other son was just as long; my daughter did it at two weeks!) :p

Anyway, I still stay up late reading stuff on the internet, though, so I don't know what that accomplishes for me...:D

I have no doubt of this whatsoever!! The way I see things, though, is that parenting is unlikely to give me anything I can't handle, one sleepless, exhausted, catatonic, emotionally drained day at a time ;) .

Truth be told -- I can barely wait. My wife even more so than me, since I'm not carrying an extra 40 pounds around my torso at the moment...5 or 10 pounds sure, but not 40 :) .

You are a lucky man, Mr. Dyal. I'll be happy with five or six hours of consecutive sleep by three weeks of age. Then again maybe I should ask for more -- like Bill Cosby says, God is listening. And if you only ask for healthy babies, you're giving him too much room to operate and his sense of humor will kick in resulting in some cruel parental jokes. So...I'd like our baby to sleep through the night within a day or two of arriving home :p !!

BTW, since you're also seemingly from the Detroit area, perhaps we can bring our child over if he/she is a bit collicky, so that you and Mrs. Dyal can weave your sleepytime magic ;) .
