Plagued Regeneration Assassin

I'm building an assassin for a party of four. The plan, for now, is to go with shifter soul and get Longtooth Regeneration. I want to also get the primal feat that increases the regen by 2 as well as plagued regenreation. At this point I won't be able to get student of the plague. Will this create too many problems with the party having to avoid being adjacent to me? If so it gets worse later on. At 1-10 I'm pulling 5 regen / 5 necrotic damage. Reasonable. By paragon I'm doing 8 regen / 8 necrotic. By epic, however, I will be getting the feat that bumps regeneration and thus eventually doing 20 regen / 20 necrotic. Now, by this level is even doing necrotic damage like that a reliable source of damage?

As long as you aren't fighting undead, 20 necrotic damage is pretty respectable.

It may limit things somewhat for the party - but then, they can potentially invest in necrotic resist items. Even if not, it gives you many levels to master the art of using your aura to your best advantage while your allies stay safe from it. It may mean some fights you want to avoid it, and sometimes that will be the sacrifice you have to make - but often I suspect you can use it without it crippling the party.

In other words, you don't think this is a bad investment, something I would be disappointed in the long run. The idea is hes bleak disciple with avenging haunt. I figure with a negative hit point pool, small temp hp pool, and regeneration he should have a rather impressive survivability. Also for my multi class I was thinking of going Spirit talker (something about having a ghost wolf following around a zombie wolf-man seems appropriate) to qualify for the regen feat, but also to get the other feat that gives me spirit healing once per encounter? Is that a waste of an investment? My other route would be just berserker rage.
