Planar Factions

So has anyone used this?

Just finished reading it the other day and still taking some notes on it.

Good stuff in there.

Some of the characters could use eye color. I was reading some of the descriptions of the NPCs and was like... "Well, at least we know height weight and hair... but what about the eyes man!"

My brain isn't working properly in the morning, but the first organization probably has some of the best potential use in my old/next campaign. I'm a big fan of "Good gone wrong" and this has that written all over it. I keep thinking that they'd be a perfect organization to have Shadownborne Inquisitors hail from. They do get a 'Smite' ability that doesn't rely on the target being evil.

Thread with more details.

It's published by Ronin Arts and has some of the flying rat's ideas on planar factions.

Not heavy on crunch.

No art but the cover. (They really need at least the group's symbols.)

Some great ideas that can be used in a planar campaign or a non-planar campaign.

One of my favorites is a group dedicated to making their god the only god in the multiverse. In a few primes, they've done it. Could be great for some crossover material from the Event Books and the whole Requirem for a God bit.

Hey! I resemble that!

;)

Seriously, PC, if you're interested, you can get it here: http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=3777& (I tried to use the link button, but it seems to not be working for me.) You can buy the whole thing as a single PDF for $11.95, or by individual organizations/factions that appeal to you as much smaller and cheaper documents.

Edit: Or you can just look at the link in my sig, that I totally forgot was there, or I'd have just pointed you toward it in the first place. Mesa smart. :heh:

I was sewtting up to use it and the Book of Demi planes when my campaign ended...does that count? Players dropping out to work, raise kids, get engaged...I mean where are their priorities?? Gaming is first!!

I should also be posting some reviews of Mouseferatu's work soon. Hamunapatra, Planar Factions, and Hero Snare, in that order. Thanks again for the books, Mouseferatu.

You're quite welcome. And I hope you found that Hero Snare corrected some of the problems you found in Thessalaine. :)

Well, that one is last on my review list since I haven't read it all, but so far I like it. Haven't read quite enough to really be sure (Too many books! I had a good holiday season ;) ), but so far I think its a vast improvement. And a great concept :) .
