Of course, you should also loos at ps3e.com for some nice conversions to 3e rules and it's sister site, Planewalker.com with lots and lots of stuff (BTW, in few months there will be there a fully official and free Planescape 3e).

And, of course, if you can read Spanish, the place to go is Planewalker-es :D

You first read where I say they're available as ESDs, then you get out your handy dandy credit card and let your fingers do the walking to Wizards' online store where you pay five bucks and download the PDF versions of the books...

Last time I looked at the ESD section of the Wizards site (which was some time ago, granted) there was a big fat disclaimer saying they could not sell ESD's to buyers from a vast list of countries, including the UK. What the hell is all that about?

They can't sell ESDs in Europe. Something about their European distributors not wanting them to. I've heard that some people got the ESDs lying about their nationality, but that's illegal, risky, and definitely a Bad Thing.

Not exactly. It actually has to do with the original distribution rights and royalty structures the products had when TSR made them.

ESDs and distribution

Does anyone know what wizard's policy is now? Seeing as they've stopped official distribution to the UK (and europe afaik) then they don't have that excuse to hide behind.

Incidentally, at least in birmingham, third party distributors have only just managed to take up the slack. I spotted a copy of Dragon a few days after my housemate got his subscription copy in the post (as opposed to a month later) and StrongHold BG and Faerun God-book made their way to shelves surpisingly quickly.

I think this deserves a new thread if I can get my thoughts together.

As I said, it has to do with the rights that TSR had negotiated originally, so that shouldn't have changed.
