Planescape Planescape conversions – tell me what you want!

While Busen are German Nipples, Visages are French Face...

I think I have reverse engineered one of TSR's method for naming monsters:

1°) Grab an English/Foreigner dictionnary;
2°) Open it at a random page;
3°) Pick a word that seems cool.

That's better than the other way around:

1°) Grab an English/Foreigner dictionnary;
2°) Choose a random body part and look for its translation.

--------

When I saw the Brain Rats in CC, I thought they were cranium rats renammed. Nope, didn't have the communal int thing (creatures whose abilities change depending on their number, like the Ferals in CC1, are a pain to give CR to, that's probably why).

My list:

Warden Beast.
Nic'Epona (also, the Equaar from some dragon issue).
Oread.
Linqua.

Re: Planescape conversions – tell me what you want!

note to self for when i get back on this. many of these monsters appear in the new Feind Folio:

Planescape boxed set:
Cranium Rats: Yes
Nic’Epona: No
Spirit of the Air: Yes

Planes of Chaos set:
Asrai: No
Bacchae: Yes
Chaos Imp: No
Fensir: Yes
Murska: No
Oread: Yes
Varrangoin: Yes

Planes of Law set:
Busen: No
Gear spirits: No
Zoveri: No

Planes of Conflict set:
Aeserpent: No
Asuras: I converted them
Buraq: No
Delphon: No
Diakk: No
Ethyk: No
Gautiere: No
Linqua: No
Ni’iath: No
Phiuhl: Yes
Quesar: No
Slasrath: Yes
Warden Beast: No
Yugoloth, Baernaloth: I converted them

i will probably therefore finish up the PS boxed set monsters first, then the planes of chaos, before grabbing up the rest. :) if i feel like it, that is. ;)

Varrangoin: Yes

Only three of them, though. Arcanist Varrangoin, Lesser Varrangoin, Rager Varrangoin. I think they were 8 of them, isn't it ?

ah, yeah... but that's good enough for me. i don't think i'll mess with them unless there is a demand for it.

well personally

Id like to see some monsters from the PS MC3

that has some of the best monsters, though I cant remember all their names:

The quasimentals

the enthrope

the Vacuous

The eragi fungus (though this would more than likely be a hazard now.)

the facet

The Gannorm

The devete

That monster from water that was three scaly rings and seaweed bound together (I forget their name, but it starts with a b.)

the ooze sprite

Now those were some cool monsters, got me interested in the inner planes when originally my focus was on the outer planes.

I'd like to see a conversion of the Eladrin. Especially since 3e seems to have made the celestial immunities/resistances Celestial wide rather than the 2e Race specific stuff.
