Planescape Faction Affiliations

Well, it's a little late now that 4e is here and a lot of Planescape DMs may have moved on from 3e. But I used affiliation rules from the PHB 2 to create pre Faction Wars stats for Factions if anyone is interested.

I'm not a big rules content creator but I tried to stick to the construction method in the PHB 2 for building custom affiliations. I also referenced the 2e Factol's Manifesto to get the right flavor per faction and keep the faction benefits as close as I could to 2e.

It may seem overpowered but I did my best to stick to what the PHB 2 says. I'm not very good at gauging this kind of stuff but I think I did ok. Please check it out and feel free to give any suggestions. I'm not a writer either so my grammar/spelling may be pretty bad.

I used excel and it's not very pretty. But if anyone wants to spice it up to make it look more like a PS book, I can give you the excel file.

Ah, most nifty. I'll be going over these when I have the time (which may be around 2010, but let's hope earlier).

You seem to have used JustKim's affiliations as a base for these. I did the same for my campaign. You might want to add an acknowledgement to that effect.

Also, why is there a bunch of empty pages at the end of the pdf?

Yeah, this is my revision #2. I did post up my version #1 last year and gave him credit on it since I didn't change much of what he did. But for version #2, I pretty much started from scratch and built them according to the PHB2 rules (which I didn't refer to the first time around). A lot of the names used are actual rank titles from the Factol's Manifesto...which is how he got the names.

I forgot his name (JustKim, thanks) and I figured I changed it so much anyway that an acknowledgment didn't matter at this point That's why I only credited the Factol's Manifesto & the PHB2.

Also, why is there a bunch of empty pages at the end of the pdf?

I noticed that after I uploaded the file. I guess my pdf converter thought some of the excel pages needed to be included in the pdf. I removed them and I'll see if I can edit the uploaded file.

I forgot to mention that I also created an affiliation for the Planewalker's Guild. It is the last page in the pdf.
