I loved Planescape in a big way, and I know that I'm not alone in that.

I would love to see new material published for the setting under d20 rules. Obviously, PS is a WotC product, and the decision will ultimately fall to them, but there's been some talk about the aftermath of the Faction War and the subsequent treatment of the setting. Some have called into question whether WotC should revisit the setting, or stay hands-off and leave it to the team that originally worked on the setting and recently put together Beyond Countless Doorways for Malhavoc Press.

Do you think Wizards should publish more Planescape Campaign material?

Do you think that fans of the setting should convince Wizards and Malhavoc to work out a deal to liscence the product and get more specifically PS material from Malhavoc?

Is there some other publisher who you'd like to see take on the Planescape liscence?

Do you think that Planecape should be left drifting on the Astral as it is now?

I would be happy to see anyone doing Planescape, so long as the quality is there. I have been pretty happy with Eberron and the newer FR stuff that has come out, so WOTC would be my first pick.

WotC should get Monte Cook and do a one-shot Planescape book.
Good call!
I loved Faction War, but Monte did make a mess of the setting that Wizards seemed afraid to clean up. This would give him the chance to put the setting back in play.

I voted "Leave Planescape floating on the Astral Plane." Having developed a dislike for it in it's heyday, I'm rather apathetic about a revival.

Hard choice for me, but I'd say get WotC to do it, preferably with some aid from Monte and his crew who did BCD. Why? Production values people, production values. Just look at their Eberron stuff and you'll see what I mean.

If Planescape was done by anyone but WotC, it would loose all conections to existing campaign settings the same way the Ravenloft lost Lord Soth, Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk aspects when it was farmed out.

I would like to see Monte and the guys make it, but as a WotC product.

I'll agree with the consensus here, it needs to be done by WotC, and they need to bring Monte Cook in on it (and get some Tony DiTerlizzi art in there too he really defined the graphical look of PS).

Please refrain from the urge (or request by WotC higher ups) to put stats in for the Lady of Pain (Maybe at most just say she's Divine Rank 21+, and they already said she's LN, that's plenty of stats for her). Just because 3e has had the "lets give the gods stats so powergamers can kill them" syndrome, doesn't mean the Iconic and mysterious symbol of PS should have stats. Just make it a one-shot book, a third planar book along side the MotP and the Planar Handbook.

Honestly, Planescape did have its detractors but it also had fans, and the fans would pay for a revival. Is it really any more of a specialized product than Frostburn or Ghostwalk in terms of who would buy or use it?
