Interesting conversion and to be honest one that might work were it not for the fact that the Zerths are the warrior/mages of the Githzerai. That is not to say Psionic classes do not exist in the followers of Zerthimon, however the item in your case would not be a useable item for most of the Zerths. Psionics did exist in 2e and could have been incorporated, but the fact remains that Dak'kon was a fighter/mage. The other thing about Karach blades is that they are forged by the chaos-shaping will of the Zerths and would be useless to anyone else since they would become formless after the Zerth's death.
