Planewalker.com fan site - WHAT HAPPENED?

Planewalker.com is - or WAS - a fan site about the 2e Planescape campaign setting, but when I tried to go there recently, I was directed to a music site with the same name. It appears that the fan site has disappeared/gone under! Does anybody have any information as to what happened? Are there any posters here that frequented the site? I know there were some, such as Shemmy (Shemeska the Marauder). Help? Is the site coming back?

Looks like the Wayback Machine shows it working as recently as 9 March: https://web.archive.org/web/20190309031048/http://www.planewalker.com/ - that page shows they're recovering from a bad database crash, has a link to a downloadable archive, and redirects to the subdomain mimir.planewalker.com for an archive that was before the crash... which is also down. Wayback has an archive from 29 August last year: https://web.archive.org/web/20180829013507/http://mimir.planewalker.com/

I don't know anything about the site or who to contact for updated information, but in the meantime those resources might let you pull up at least archived text for things, if that helps.

Thank you SO much - I really appreciate this. Perhaps this is just a temporary crash? But the fact that somebody else is using the Planewalker.com name is worrisome. I have a feeling if they do come back, it'll be under an new name. Hopefully somebody with ties to the site will post here and let us know what's up.

The site http://planewalker.com or http://www.planewalker.com simply times out for me - you may be using a DNS service (such as from your ISP) that 'helpfully' tries to redirect or suggest alternatives for you, like possibly the bandcamp user 'Planewalker'? If so, that's due to your internet services, and not transferal of the domain name.

Any news? Will it be back at some point?

Recently made the jump to Planescape after one of my players requested it for a next campaign. Been buying everything I can find and entering it into a Realm Works realm. Lots of work but during my research I am forwarded to Planewalker.com so many times I am frustrated at all the stuff I'm missing out on!

Is there any alternative?
