Okay, peoples, chill. I think people are misreading "Misc User" as much as s/he's misread others. If I parse it correctly, s/he is saying that the discussion seems to be expanding from talking about individual decisions not to play with others ("you all can have your games of ignoring others", "we all need to stop this stupidity of blacklisting players") to some discussion as if it were an organized behind-the-scenes activity ("any of you out there that are part of a group of freinds doing this to other players", "But, to create a list, and spread that around?") and that this is becoming paranoia ("black-listing religion" I suspect was meant as a religion against black-listers). I do know it happens, but I believe there's little if any organization to it. Someone doesn't like another player's style or has an argument over a particular action and stops playing with them or any other recognized char of theirs. Human nature and we can't change that. Someone who starts bad-mouthing that player to others and telling others to stay away from them? That's harassment and against the CoC if it happens on site. If you are consistently avoiding playing with others, consider if this is the right site for you. There are other roleplaying sites on the web in many different flavours. Otherwise, lighten up. If you can't find anyone worth playing with, maybe you need to lower your standards. Sometimes it's as simple as coming up with a new char that has more reasons to interact with others. If you're looking at if from the other side, if it's one of your chars getting ignored, then you have choices. Don't be afraid to examine the char and see if there are IC reasons for being ignored, or your own style of play to see if there are OOC reasons. What looks like a good storyline hook to you, might look like a "KEEP AWAY" sign to others. What seems like great RPing to you, might seem like random foolishness or uptight overrealism or maudlin sentimentality to others. But if you've done that examination, and you like your char and style just as is, then go for it! Play as you like and find others that enjoy it too and don't let the "black-listers" get to you. I do like the point that others may not be playing with you simply because they're too busy playing elsewhere. This can be OOC reasons or IC reasons. And some people don't like having new PCs added into their storylines, some do. You might try PMing a group that seems fully engaged in long-term plotting to find out if there's an opening. But don't assume that the ones ignoring you are doing it from vicious reasons when it might be simple logistics.
