Well rather than a gratuitous bump, I'll post some real feedback in support of the product. I think its a great idea and while your analogy to reading a computer game manual without playing it is a bit excessive I definitely see your point. Reminds me a bit of Monte's rant about game developers not actually playing the game. I can see the same following (on a lesser level) for reviewers. Anyways, looking forward to the first issue and hope that you get sufficient contribution to push things forward.

I've been a shameless whore of bumping myself from time to time, but I have to admit now even I'm annoyed.

Wouldn't it be better to write a press release and have it posted to the main page?

As opposed to co-opting the general forum and bumping your own thread ad nauseam?

At some point the lack of activity on the thread (other than yourself) should serve as a hint that the general public is ready to see it fall away. If people are interested, they will bump it for you.
