I voted "Yes, I like a challenge," but I really don't consider it a challenge. There's nothing wrong with those stats, as long as you're not dead set on playing a paladin, monk, or ranger.

Yes, I would. I normally police myself heavily because I'm a horribly good (no, it's not an oxymoron) powergamer, so this would give me an opportunity to take the gloves off and make the character really effective despite the stats.

I kind of get exited whenever I roll really poorly during CharGen. I think “how can I use these numbers to come up with some whacktacular wimp/clutz/gimp/moron/fool/unpopular character that everyone will remember for years?"

I mean, did you ever stop to think about what Don Quixote’s stats must’ve looked like? And that guy got his own book. ;)

Not that I consider the numbers presented poor. Not at all. Those seem to be in range of what I normally get, even using the “best 3 of 4 dice” method. I consider “poor” to mean something along the lines of “no stat over 12 with the lowest stat(s) around 6 or so.”

I'd do it. Certain class options wouldn't really be available though. Depending on the starting level, I'd either play a Druid who has all those stats in physical stats and likes to Wildshape a lot or else perhaps a Gnome or Dwarf Wizard who puts the 14 in Int and the 13 in Con (to become a 15). I might die off and wind up with another character, but at least I've tried my best with those two builds to see it through.

Unlike hafrogman above, I would actually be far less happy to play those stats in an RP-heavy game (unless its one of those ignore-your-stats-and-skills-as-long-as-you-are-a-good-actor games, in which case it is okay, though I think those games are a bit unfair to some players) since I'm pretty much going to have to dump Charisma to survive (though I guess with this character, anything except the first two stats is pretty much low enough to be a dump stat anyway, so that isn't saying much).

One of my longest running characters in 2nd ed had stats very similar to that, except the 14 was a 15 and the 13 was a 12. Straight thief all the way.

So yeah, I'd have no problem playing a character like that at all.

Of course I'm used to being the worst and most effective powergamer in my face to face groups, so this would simply put me at an even power level :D.
I've only just started to be a player in my group, so in essence I'm the worst powergamer they've never seen!

Man, my telepath is gonna be fun :D

If you had such stats and everyone in the group had about the same but you are on the low end would you play him? Would you do so reluctantly? Or would you kill him off?
This is what made me vote "yes, but reluctantly". I'd have no problems if we were all on the same level; it's being on the low end that's a problem. I'd be just as reluctant to play stats like 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 12 if I'm on the low end there as well.
