Please help me with NWN: HotU!

Okay, I'm at the Isle of the Maker in chapter 2 of Hordes, and I'm clearing out the golems. Now, the manual I have says that there are supposed to be some big Golem parts laying around here and there for me to gather and assemble in the lowest level of the complex. But I'm not finding these pieces anywhere! Not at the locations they say it's supposed to be at and nowhere else either.

Anybody else run into this or have and idea whats going on?

What class are you? AFAIK, only Wizards and Sorcerers can make the golem. I haven't found the parts on either of my playthroughs, once as a Bard/Arcane Archer, and once as a Rogue/Shadowdancer/Weapon Master. They may not even appear if you're not a Wiz/Sor.

Yeah, I think LP is right about that. I played through the first two chapters with a Figher/Wizard/Arcane Archer, but with only the 1 required level in wizard, so you may have to be a certain level of spellcaster or have the item creation feats to be able to do this. But that would be pretty damned awesome to have a shield guardian following you around.

Well, that may be why it's not working. My character is a Monk 20/ Sorcerer 1/ Dragon Disciple 2. I took the Sorcerer level to meet the prereq for Dragon Disciple and to be able to build that golem! I already bought all the scrolls for all the spells to pump it up too! Dangit.

Well, so much for that plan. I'll just have to try it next time with my Ftr/Wiz character that I'm starting over in the first NWN.

Well, I did some research, and you need to have five levels of Wizard to get the parts.

Yeah that must be right... I played it with a wizzard and had no problem finding the parts.
