Please identify my wizard's armour!

If it doesn't improve AC, it doesn't affect spell failure. In general, purely cosmetic effects should not have game-mechanical consequences.

Agreed - I was just wondering about the possibility of mix'n'match armour to achieve a right look at minimal cost...

If I do wear fake armour, I might be mistaken for a fighter. Just imagine, all those will save spells being thrown at me. :D

As a DM i wouldnt allow it. But, i'd consider "Hennet's" gear armor as well.

Maybe buy a Glamered Mithral Studded Leather, and instead using the effect to "hide" the armor, use it for "improve" the looks of your armor.

Or buy a Robe of Blending or a Hat of Disguise, or something else that gives you Change Self at will...

In Rituals&Relics is a magic sword... when you draw it, an illusory armour made of force unfolds around you. Looks cool. But beware disarms!

Check it out.

The Quintessential Wizard has something called "Wizard's Armour" which is specially designed armour with a lower armor class penalty:

Start with the stats and cost of a MW suit of armor (any type), add 200 gp, reduce AC by 2, weight by 5lb and ACP by 10%.

You would consider a shirtless man to be in armor???

Harsh.

Because hennet, has over 1/2 of his body covered in leather. including spiked forearm guards. the whole setup remindes me of a 1/2 armored gladiator. except he doesnt have only his upper chest covered.

I'd give what he's wearing a +1. like padded, but not as good as leather. for comparison, look at what lidda's wearing... thats leather.

ps. i know its not boiled-sclupted leather but its still cow hide and thats a +1ac in my book.

*shrug* It looks like soft leather to me. Probably no more protective than denim jeans. I can seen a buckler argument made for the forearm guards, but since it's Hennet's lower half being protected I wouldn't consider it anything like armor.

Well, he's a sorcerer so his lower half would probably be his better half....

Hong "now, what can I say about Devis?" Ooi

Of course he gets protection from the forearm guards. They're a special, rare magic item you probably haven't heard of-- my book calls them Bracers of Armor. :D
