I can't quote this, but you are not required to use any of your abilities. A rogue who attacks someone w/o their dex bonus does not have to sneak attack that opponent despite being able to. A druid does not have to leave no tracks when walking through the woods.

Anytime an ability must be used, the text will quote that the ability must be used - as with the frenzy ability from the frenzied berserker.

Then you are wrong. Why would I all of a sudden have to knock a guy when before I could just do damage. Because I have some new insight into knocking guys back, I now HAVE to use it? This ability is voluntary.

I'd rate it a 7, it has cheap prereqs, and combines all the benefits of bullrush witthout ANY of the drawbacks. No AOO, possibly cause several AOO on yoru opponent, and sometimes that 5 ft can be over a cliff:)

Finally, its not an automatic push back, it says it works just as if you had performed a bull rush. Well when you perfrom a bullrush you make opposed strength checks to see if you succeed. This doesn't change because of the feat.

The ability to trigger a bunch of AoO's on a target your party has mostly surrounded or the ability to do a full attack, knockback your opponent and step away 10' so your opponent can only get 1 attack. If you have feat synergy and knock your opponent prone then they don't get any attack at all as they have to stand and then move or crawl up for a single attack at -4.

This feat is better than expert tactician.

Maybe you should get our lovable mods to thumbtack a "Poll Compilitation Thread" to the top of the board. It would be nice to have a consistent place to see these results.

Oh Yeah, Gave it a seven. Better things to spend my feats on, but its up their in the 'Shield Expert' chain.
