This sounds cool to me. If you've prepared an elemental spell, and you run into something that is immune to that element...

IME you run into elemental resistant creatures more often than you run into creatures with an elemental weakness.

For instance, tanar'ri have no elemental weaknesses, and a wizard who casts Protection from [Element] has no elemental weakness, either.

I love the idea of this feat, but the realities of it's usage leaves much to be desired.

There are, unfortunately, several people around here who vote against whatever the majority view is.
IMO, smetzger should throw out any level that only gets 1 vote.
