Please Recommend a Module for me!

I want to run 4 4th level PCs through a module that will take them to around 6th level (basically to buff them up to get them through Madness in Freeport). Suggestions would be appreciated.

Speaker in Dreams was very fun to run, and the players seemed to enjoy it. Of course, its a bit high for 4th levels, but with some NPC help or a little work it could work.

I've read Forge of Fury, but haven't actually used it yet, so I'm not sure how it is. Looks good in theory though.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I can't run any Wizards modules b/c our previous DM ran us through most of them.

Any more ideas?:)

Re: Module Recommendations

I'm really big on the Penumbra modules:

In the Belly of the Beast, Three Days to Kill and Maiden Voyage were all fantastic and would fit really well in a Freeport campaign. Each one is also very scalable since a couple of them may be juuuust under the 4th level area you're at. Really high quality adventures!

You could have great fun with "Of Sound Mind" by fiery dragon and written by our very own Piratecat.

It is designed for a 1st level party with scaling notes up to 4th level, and it is designed around psionics but comes with notes for converting it to arcane stuff.

It's a cracking good module, one of the best I've used.

Cheers

I would second Of Sound Mind. I have only read it, but I plan on starting my next campaign off with it, then heading off to whatever comes up, and finishing with RttToEE.

rappan atthuk by necromancer..4th level is the bare minimum and you will have loads of fun watching them struggle through the first levels..

I would also heartily recommend Of Sound Mind. I just ran it at the Chicago Gameday 2 this past Saturday. It's a great read, and an even better thing to throw at the players. The scaling tips are useful, and you don't even have to make the adventure psionics-based. Not to mention the friggin' AWESOME little sidebars and tips that give DMs great ideas for nifty theatrics to freak with the players minds, and just in general set the mood. P-Kitty wrote a damn fine module, if I do say so myself.

Without meaning to sound immodest, may I suggest Shadows Under Thessalaine, from Monkey God Enterprises?

It's exactly the level range you need, and it seems to have gone over well. (I've only gotten one bad review out of, oh, at least seven or eight I've run across online). It's relatively inexpensive. And if you buy it, I get royalties. :D

Seriously, give it some thought.
