Please recommend good minis for WFRP 2nd Ed.

Doesn't seem like it's what the OP is looking for, but for others looking for WFRP suitable minis, consider the cardboard character and monster stand-ups that come with the newest edition of the game.

They're durable, have great art, and cover a nice variety of characters and monsters. Of course, right now you'd also have to buy the new edition of the game, but FFG is planning on releasing kits later this year which just include the components--which may turn it into a pretty sweet deal even if you don't play the new edition.

As I said before the Free Company has a good selection of ruffians. The others tend to give you at least twice as many models of a given type as you need but you can mix & match them a bit, or let them inform your scenarios (20 Ungors! Again?!?).
The Imperial wizard box is nice with 2 mages of course though & those citizens of the empire (plus Mordheim) give more civilian types that PCs typically encounte more regualry than soldiers. Buying about a dozen townsfolk was the most sensible RPFG mini purchasing I ever did.

Speaking of mix and match, some warhammer players are using small but powerful magnets to assemble their minis to allow for swapping out weapons and gear. Just an idea for those who like their minis to be WYSIWYG. It works better for 40K, but it can work for fantasy minis. Going from greatsword to sword and shield helps figs pull double duty but with a few mutant heads and arms, you can have a whole cornucopia of options with just a few models.

There are some ebay sellers offering good deals on the smaller rare earth magnets.

Kinda heavy on PCs. If you are just starting to collect minis, perhaps the Players can be encouraged to bring their own figs?

TBH a single dedicated vampires mini is probably going to be enough since any fig dressed well will do fine for a vampire. Also a 2E WFRP vampire gets free control of dozens of skeletons and zombies, so more than one may be overkill. Also two dedicated werewolves might be more than needed. One aristocratic mini and and three normal looking wolves would be a better choice since the wolves can be used for wolves, werewolves and goblin mounts. Also 5 gobbos and just 3 black orcs may be a better spread.

How about these 54mm miniatures by Irregular Miniatures? I really like 54mm scale and some of these miniatures look like they would work well with WFRP. Go here, then click on the 54mm link on bottom, then on left side click on the Medievals, Renaissance & English War, and Fantasy collections. I really like the look of these miniatures.

Opinions?
