PlotStorming.com - Plot Development, World Building, and Unfettered Creativity

First Post
Good day,

www.PlotStorming.com is up and running!

PlotStorming.com is site for anyone who enjoys writing and the creative process. Help develop a community where writers, gamers, and fans of fantasy and sci-fi can gather to brainstorm and develop a foundation for their writing and worlds. The site is a forum to discuss world building, plot development, character designs; whatever goes into writing a good story or running a good game. PlotStorming.com is a place for writers to revel and create something that's greater than the sum of its parts.

Suffering from a creative block? Enjoy plot development or world building? Have a skeleton, but need the meat? Love swapping ideas with other writers? Then Plot Storming is for you! Bring your ideas, characters, plots, and worlds, and we'll "storm" it. We enjoy helping develop and refine ideas so writers and gamers can create a better story and world.

You ask: how is it different than EN World? The goal of PlotStorming.com is a community that combines both fantasy writers and gamers. Both "camps" are filled with creative individuals, but they don't often inter-mix. And each could benefit from the other -- everyone is a font of creativity but the way they look at a problem and their focus is different. EN World produces RPG goodness; writers produce stories; PlotStorming.com unites the two worlds to produce content fundamental to both: settings, plots, and characters.

What PlotStorming.com offers its members:
Community
- a forum where we congregate to share ideas and help solve our creative problems
TWiki - a wiki to help focus, organize, and present your ideas
Synergy - free personal message boards on the forum and front page news for group projects
Inspiration - Daily Creative Writing Prompts to help revitalize your imagination

We'd love to have you join us!

Enjoy the day!

This sounds like a cool idea. Is it just for traditional fantasy, or are sci fi, horror etc. gamers and writers encouraged to participate in their own genres as well?

PlotStorming.com is open to all genres. I mentioned Fantasy and Sci-fi because that is mostly what RPG brings, but the site isn't exclusive -- creativity knows no bounds!

Visit the Plot Storming TWiki

PlotStorming.com has had an upgrade!

It now offers a wiki (or I should say TWiki) that's open (and free) to the writing and RPG community. If you have a project that could benefit from the organization and open collaboration a wiki brings, feel free to utilize the Plot Storming TWiki!

http://www.PlotStorming.com - The link to TWiki is on the left and top menu bars.
Or go directly to the Plot Storming TWiki: http://wiki.plotstorming.com/bin/view

Enjoy the day!

PlotStorming.com Improvements

PlotStorming.com has grown in the past couple weeks (primarily thanks to Martin's post at TreasureTables.org), and we've added a few new features that I thought the creative people here at EN World may be interested in!

First, PlotStorming.com now offers a Synergy package. If you are part of a group with an ongoing project (short story compilation, world building project, magazine, RPG monster book, campaign, etc) you can have a free home at PlotStorming.com.

The Synergy package (currently) offers:
Community - A project board and as many child boards as you desire
Visibility - Project news and updates can be posted to the PlotStorming.com homepage

Bringing your project to PlotStorming.com allows you to draw on a constantly growing community of highly creative individuals (if you want your work to be public, otherwise we can arrange for only your group to be able to see and access your boards). And creating a home at PlotStorming.com also brings added exposure to your project -- from the forum as well as the news available on the main page.

Second, PlotStorming.com has begun posting daily Creative Writing Prompts. The best thing for a writer to do is write -- it exercises your creative muscle. But sometimes you need some inspiration, and PlotStorming.com is trying to help. If you're having a hard time trying to write write, the prompt is there -- filled with imagery and emotion -- to serve as a catalyst.

If the prompt works and you feel inspired -- the community would love to see what you produce. A goal for the exercise is 300-500 words, simple right?

Finally, we have a new logo. I know it doesn't do much for the individual, but I'm really happy about it!

If you're interested, the community at PlotStorming.com would love to meet you!

This is more appropriate to the Publisher's forum...
Sorry! Since the site isn't publishing anything I didn't want to stomp on any toes by posting here. But since its a press release/announcement, I can understand why you'd want it here.
