This is a bummer for me, now the only place I can listen to them is my computer.

It's probably for the best, though, since downloading them via iTunes took ages. It's really a lot easier and faster to just watch them via YouTube.

Overall you may be correct, greater good and all that.

For some of us, it makes it harder, they are not portable anymore.

awe shucks. I liked the option of doing either... though really the vids should have at least been in a different stream.

It's still possible to download them, by using some browser's extensions.

I really wish they'd simply carry on with the normal podcast and simply post these video as videos and stop calling them a podcast.

Of course I didn't think the penny arcade stuff was a podcast anyways.

I agree. I quit subscribing to the podcast because I didn't like the actual-play sessions.

It seems they could have made most camps happy by splitting the feed. Most folks are happy to check youtube, and the drop in volume for the downloads might have made it possible to keep podcasting the files. And, I would be able to subscribe to an actual-play-free feed.

That's what you call a video podcast, sometimes referred to as a vidcast. Ask a Ninja does that.

My only gripe with the Robot Chicken videos was that they put them out way too quickly. They should have staggered them a bit, roughly one or two a week, so that it wouldn't overwhelm peoples' podcatchers.

What I will say, though, is that the quality seems to be getting a bit better. Here's hoping!
