Poison and Disease

If someone gets struck multiple times and then makes consecutive fails against poison or disease, do the effects stack? And with disease, after the incubation period, does the PC need to make multiple saves each day (and multiple Heal checks) to stave off the effects for each time they were struck?

Thanks.

I have always wondered about this myself. What happens if you pour a full bottle of arsenic into someone's wine barrel? What happens to the save DC? What about the damage? Does the drinker simply die from Massive Poison Overdose?

As a general rule I have always played that multiple poisoning from the same poison stack with each other, while multiple infections with the same disease do not stack (you either get the disease or not). The rules may say that simply none stack because the source is the same, but I think it makes sense to stack multiple doses of the same poison.

Poison stacks with itself- because you can be poisoned multiple times, say by a monstrous spider- but you can only have a single disease once at any given time. You might say, "I was poisoned first when I ate the apple and then again when I drank the wine," but you wouldn't say, "I got this flu from first Andy and then Betty."
