Poison creation

Are there any rules on poison creation? I was asking because a party of mine will probably want to deal in poisons (ie manufacture it and sell it) but i don't see them going around the country killing spiders and scorpions.

Any info will be appreciated!

Edit: I think there is something about crafting poison in Quintessential Rogue... would anyone be so kind as to give me the jist of it? It works like the other craft skills, but using alchemy?

There are rules in both Song & Silence and the Book of Vile Darkness. The BoVD version is newer, and includes the rule that you can use Alchemy-4 to substitute for Craft (Poisons).

The main thing, really, is that it works like any other Craft skill except 10 times as fast (given the price of poisons, you'd never get anything done otherwise, though this does make it a fabulous way to make money in a society where you can actually sell the stuff). The only remaining question is setting DC's. Which are in the aforementioned books for all the standard poisons.
