"Pokemount" abuses?

In either case, I don't find it abusive because I can't FIND anyone to play a 3.5 paladin. :) Of course, we've only played one 3.5 game, so it's not that far gone.

Move down to Austin and start a game. I guarantee you a paladin right here--whether you use the 3.0 or 3.5 mount rules. :)

All depends on how tight your DM runs Paladins etc. In some cases suddenly launching an evil artifact on to a good plane can be seen as Chaotic at the least and, if potentially harmful to inhabitants on that plane, Evil.

Also the mounts in many cases actually use there intelligence and sometimes have ideas of there own or opinions about being used in such a way. As far as non-evil item storage there are so many other ways to take care of that it has never come up in our campaign.

Hey now folks, Pokemount Abuse is a serious issue that needs discussing.

Paladins may seems like Avatars of Good and Justice, but all that restrictive alignment comes out in an indominable rage. And who's always a quick free action away? That's right. The paladin's "Pokemount." And the abuse doesn't stop there!

If you know of any Abused Pokemounts, please seek help. For the sake of the horses.

I'm suprised at you people!

Pokemount abuse is no laughing matter. The summoning of mounts for target practice is RIGHT OUT!

EDIT: Curse you Tsunami! Of course, it would be a disgusting undead mount like you that thought of abusing paladins' mounts as a joke before I did! Back to Mormont with you!

On the contrary:

Summon Mount has revitalized the Paladin in my campaign.

3.0 to 3.5 turned a liability into an ability.

And there was much rejoicing.

I wanna play a paladin in the same game! Come on, people. Time to get the paladin campaign going in Austin.

I don't have a problem with any of these. My issue with the pokemount is the flavor, that turns a holy knight into a conjurer. This one ability would pretty well ruin one of my kingdoms.

My "house rule" for this is that the mount always has to burst dramatically through a window, surrounded by light, or charge out of a shadowy cavern to the deep resonations of its hooves, or somehow arrive in a worthy fashion upon the scene.
