I hear rumor that there is a Dragon Magazine with a list of Pole-arm feats in it. Does anyone know which magazine it is?

I was always amazed that in the face of so many oriental martial arts flicks showing expert fighters with pole arm weapons - spears and the quarterstaff/nunchuk combo thing (forget the name right now), etc. - that the whole realm of pole arm feats has not been developed until recently.

What Sky does with his spear in the movie Hero, for example, is plain amazing. :)

Hi-

Playing a Fighter with exotic weapon feat Dwarven Warspike, and shorten grip when fighting in the dungeon. Another thing about these weapon types is that you can get AoO on your oppenents when they get within 10 ft and if you have the feat long strike, you can attack up to 15 ft away. Now what my fighter needs to do is get combat expertise and then improved trip so as to use the hook on the back of the dwarven warspike to trip up the characters enemies.
A few questions did come:
Can an Elf use a Dwarven Warspike?
So with shorten grip, I can attack adjacent enemies?

The Pole Arm feats are not bad and really add Another layer to the fighter class. WoTC should have included the full artical in the PHB II not just the Dragon Compenduim.

I so agree. I am playing a monk2/fighter2/barb1(whirling frenzy) soon to gain another level of barbarian along with dervish, and elusive target. Fear my gypsy-fu magic.

the point is, when i made this charicter I invisioned sky and sungmenia? from soul caliber. Fear the glaive hahah. a whirlwind of death is an understatment.

Thier is a feat in dragon compendum that lets lets someone useing a polearm attack adjacent squares but at a -2 to attack. this i think is better then changeing as a free action, becuse of your going to build a reach fighter off aoo, its better to alwayse beable to take attacks of opertunity close in or from a distance when it is not your turn.
