Polearm Fighter Questions

Well, though a lot of GMs rule otherwise, I reckon polearm gamble + fighter is enough.
'cos the OA interrupts their movement, so you attack them while they're still 2 squares away.
And if you hit ... fighter's combat superiority stops them in their tracks.

True. But I am assuming the other interpretation of when the OA triggers. I agree with you though, I'd probably rule that the OA triggers before they actually enter the adjacent square. But I know some DMs would not.

Edit: Woah, I should have checked the FAQ.

27. Where is the target of your attack when you make an opportunity attack because of Polearm gamble?

An opportunity attack interrupts the action that triggers it, so when you make the opportunity attack, the target is in the square it's leaving, assuming that square is within your melee reach.

So you are right. It's much easier to do. I don't need Footwork Lure, or Fluttering Leaf Style, or a Staggering Weapon. All I need is Polearm Gamble. They approach me from two squares away, I hit them with an opportunity attack, they stop moving due to combat superiority, still two squares away. They cannot use their second action to charge me because there is not enough space to charge (and if the first action was a charge, they have no action left). They could charge someone else, but they are marked and will take a penalty.
