Politics, propoganda and d20

DMH

Or, has anyone used Dynasties and Demagogues?

I am thinking of starting work on a campaign where the PCs are spies that have 3 uses- information gathering, propoganda creation and distribution, and sabotage. Is D&D useful in these regards?

I've used a few bits from the book in my campaign. I'd use it more, but my players are more interested in other elements of the game rather than politics. Anyway, it definitely has topics that cover each one of those areas that you're talking about.

Well, it doesn't really cover "sabotage" in the physical sense, as in sabotaging equipment. But, I'm gathering that's not exactly what you're talking about anyway.

Okay- thanks. Does anyone know any books with physical sabotage? Sam was right that I didn't mean that form, but still it would be nice to see some rules/guidelines.

Like a lot of stuff in d20, it's been done a few different ways by a few different companies.

There are things you can get from Dragonmech, Swashbuckling Adventures (which even has a Saboteur PrC class), and there's one of AEG's Spycraft books with a Saboteur-like class (I forget which one). I know I'm forgetting some - basically, I think that most books with a vaguely "steamtech" type theme usually have some sort of rules for sabotaging equipment. I think that there's also some stuff on the topic in the d20 Modern Game - you might want to look through the d20 Modern SRD on the Wizards site.

Oftentimes, it's worked up as a class ability for a new core or Prestige class.
