Poll: Most popular ranged weapons in your game

What are the most popular ranged weapons in your game? We have a lot of long bows in our game, an occassional short bow and never any crossbows. But everyone always has a throwing dagger or two (or 12).

In one game, we had a halfling cleric, a human cleric, and a human sorcerer - all carried crossbows. Go simple weapons!

In the other game, we have a cleric who doesn't believe in ranged weapons. The sorcerer is an elf. So bows vastly outnumber crossbows in that game - the ranger and the sorcerer use longbows, the halfling rogue and dwarf fighter use shortbows. No crossbows to be seen.

It depends a lot on the race/class mix.

Having said that the most popular ranged weapon in our group has to be Magic Missile, followed closely by the Barbarians Mighty Composite Long bow.

Javelins. The enemies never get tired of hucking them at us. Far far more popular than anything else.
