[Poly] Mecha Crusade component pricing formula?

    Does anyone have any input on the formula used to arrive at the prices for the various components in Mecha Crusade? They seem confusing to me:
  • 250 BP for +1 to hit, 1,000 BP for +2 to hit
  • 6,250 BP for a rocket launcher that does 10d6 (Reflex 17 for half) damage per rocket vs. 4,800 BP for a missile launcher that does 15d6 (+10 to hit) damage per missile
  • 4,170 BP for a gun that does 10d6 per shell vs. 2,145 BP for a gun that does 3d6 per shell vs. 3,000 BP for a flamethrower that does 4d6 damage in a 12m cone
    Those are the ones I have with me... I expected the component costs to compare directly to magic item costs in D&D, but they do not seem to. Any input on a formula?
