Polymorph and Wild Shape questions...

So a friend and I started to wonder...
Is it possible por a Druid Wild Shaped into a Hen to lay eggs?
Are they edible?
What about an Ostrich?

And on a related question...
Can a Male Druid Wild Shaped into a Bear mate with a Female Bear and Impregnate her?
And a Female Druid with a Male Bear?

If any of them gets pregnant
What is the baby?
Fully bear?
Fully human? (let's suppose the druid was a human)
Half-Bear Half- Human?
Were Bear?????

And the question becomes more interesting with the Polymorph spell ;)

If the answer is no to every question... Why (and how) do Half-Dragons exist??????

As per the spell. the casters type changes to the creature type. thus yes all these things are possible except due to the time limit laying eggs is not one o them. also the "child" would be all animal. (or not as your DM wishes.)

well, dragons seem to take human forms occasionally and take human mates... thus half-dragon... using that as a bench mark, apply to other questions.
LOL What he said. If you read about half dragons (Or fiends, celestials etc..) in the MM you will find that they will take mortal and even animals as mates.

You might have stumbled upon a reason to buy the BoEF. If the answers to your questions isn't in that book, there aren't any answers ;)

As to why Half-Dragons do exist: because it's a cool concept. Of course that doesn't explain the Half-Orc....
