Polymorphing (wild shape) into a quickling

One of my players is an incarnate (from SL) and can shift into a new shape next level:

He wants to be a quickling (Which I'm fine with) but I want to make sure I've got the stats right.

(we're using the stats from here<http://www.d20reviews.com/cc/converted/fey/quickling.htm>)

He gets the physical stats and but keeps old hit points
carried gear re-sizes to new size
saves are re-created with new stats
land speed is 60ft
no feats or skills ( except the +8 racial bonus to Jump checks. &
the Spring Attack feat as a bonus feat.)

Especially no natural invisibility, haste, etc (and thus none of those bonuses to amor etc.)

How am I doing?

I konw there's some bad ass rules master hanging around who can tell at a glance whether I've made a mistake....
(Normally I'm low-key about this sort of thing, but it being a players main new abillity I'd like to make sure).

As incentive here's a copy of the monster from the link above:

COMBAT
Spell-Like Abilities: 1/day—dancing lights, daze, levitate, shatter, and ventriloquism. These abilities are as the spells cast by a 6th-level sorcerer (save DC 12 + spell level).
Haste (Su): A quickling is affected by a permanent haste spell. This grants the quickling one extra partial action, either before or after its regular action. It also grants the quickling a +4 bonus to its AC (already included in the statistics block). The quickling loses the +4 AC bonus anytime it would lose a dodge bonus. The quickling can jump one and one half times as far as normal.
This is an inherent bonus and cannot be dispelled or negated.
Natural Invisibility (Su): A quickling remains invisible (as the spell) even when it attacks. This ability is constant and the quickling can suppress or resume it as a free action.
Special Daggers (Ex): Quicklings sometimes employ special daggers that, in addition to dealing normal weapon damage, cause a creature struck to fall asleep.
Sleep: Any opponent struck by the dagger, regardless of Hit Dice, must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC 15) or be affected as though by a sleep spell cast by a 6th-level sorcerer.
Skills: Quicklings receive a +8 racial bonus to Jump checks.
Feats: Quicklings gain the Spring Attack feat as a bonus feat.

The Quickling first appeared in the 1e MM II (Gary Gygax, 1983).

too good to be true

As a player with a PC who's getting Polymorph Self when he next levels, this interests me... I love the feats and that Dex, but can't help but wonder if it might be too good to be true. Maybe not when you compare some of the 15HD giants you can 'morph into with Str's of 26...

That MOVEMENT though! 240'??? Oh! Hey, I just remembered something from the T&B errata'd Polymorph:

"Extremely high speeds for certain creatures are the result of extraordinary or magical ability, so they are not granted by this spell. (In general, these abilities include nonflying speeds greater than 60 feet and flying speeds greater than 120 feet.)"

So my question would then be, would your speed be unaffected or would it be increased to 60ft.? I'd rule that it'd rise to 60ft., the excess being defined as magical.

(edit) duh. reread the first post before replying, quidam. he noted the 60' land speed. I don't recall reading that you don't get feats- is this true?

Thanks guys.

As for the speed to 60 but keep everything else....
letting a 6th level character be permently hasted and improved invisible isn't really happening.

:: letting a 6th level character be permently hasted and improved invisible isn't really happening.

-- I should say not, since those abilities are Spell Like and Supernatural, none of which are copied by any transformation power I know of (with the exception of a druid's elemental wildshape only).

I quote!

-- Since he doesn't get it, that also reduces it's AC by 4. I also find it wiggy that the text says it can't be dispelled or negated, yet they made it a Supernatural ability...which by definition can indeed be both dispelled and negated. Oh well.

Natural Invisibility (Su): A quickling remains invisible (as the spell) even when it attacks. This ability is constant and the quickling can suppress or resume it as a free action.

-- Sweet, but no go. Even a Shifter can't get invisible, unless he takes a Willow Wisp's form.

It's probably also worth mentioning that he wouldn't get the "special daggers" either. I dunno why they're listed as an Ex ability, when really they're just...inventory. But there we have it. :)

So what WOULD he get? Assuming an "Incarnate" uses an ability similar to Polymorph Self...

The physical stats, including that crispy Dex and its associated bonuses. The Small size, and its modifiers. 60' worth of quick ground movement. Low Light Vision.

And I think that's it.
