polymorphing?

I was reading through polymorph and it does not list archons or outsiders as a type able to be taken in the spell.

Yet they talk about what you gain from gaining the archon type from polymorph.

Is this just a mistake or is there some way you can turn into it?

Polymorph does say humanoid but thats a specific type in the monster manual and archons are not listed as humanoid but as seperate so I assume they are unable to be polymorphed into?

An outsider with the polymorph spell could turn into another kind of outsider. They just listed all the stuff for everything for completeness (which is very welcome, IMO)
