Popular Magic Items

And if the Cost to create was supposed to be 375? Possible typos in two location and you automatically assume that it's the cost of the item, not cost to create.

I'd be more likely to go with 1K for the price, but there's not really any way to be certain short of asking the sage.

I didn't automatically assume anything. This is the third thread on the subject, and I just stated my conclusion reached previously. The reasoning is that 1000gp is more in line with similar items in the same book, and the power of the item, and the guidelines.

It's not a big deal really. I just didn't understand re-quoting the item price back to me when you knew from what you were quoting from me that I knew what was in the item price.

Anyway, I agree with the previous poster that the Amulet of Tears is pretty darn good as well, as far as hit points go.

#4 Blindfold of True Darkness 9000gp
Works like Blindsight (ex) so pretty much see through illusions, such as mirror image, blur, displacement, illusary walls and so on. And immune to gaze attack.

Cheers

Ok, seems the party have found the following items must haves:

#1 Healing Belt M110 (750gp) 4 party members (added to existing +4 strength belts)
#2 Wand of Alter Self (Lizards seems to be popular with nice natural AC) 2 party members
#3 Augment Crystals - For weapons and shield, DR to Healing to causing damage to demons
All the main fighters in the party.

Coming to a city near you.

Aside from the ubiquitous Amulet of NA, Ring of Protection and stat-boost items, the real must have with me and my players seems to be Hewards Handy Haversack...it all stems from whipping out potions/scrolls etc. without drawing an AoO...

Not all illusions. Figments, yes I agree. But a lot of illusions will be unaffected. For example, I am not at all sure about blur and displacement. Both are not figments, but glamers. Glamers do not just impact sight. They alter "feel, taste, smell, and sound" as well. I wouldn't let a blindfold of darkness make you immune to glamers.

See Yrthak (MM 262) and its Blindsight ability description.
I would say Blur, mirror image and displacement are all visual effects of illusion spells.

healing belt - yeah okay. Even at 1000 gp, it is a nice change from the ubiquitous wands of CLW. With a max of 6d8 = 5ch (5d8+5) from a wand, it takes 8 days at full use before it passes the effectiveness of the wand.

I bet if I throw one in the game Sat. the PCs will never bother to check the price. IMG items from the MIC are not commonly manufactured, or available for sale like the stuff from the DMG
of course the items seem to be under valued by PCs, 2 of 4 MIC items found were sold off.

I am irritated by the fact that it is listed under H for healing instead of B for Belt, healing
but thats a problem I have with the book, putting like items together would have made it easier to use.

I think the artificer's monocle [MIC72] is quite neat. A real bargain at 1500 gp for the ability to identify magic items as often as you like.

Wow, so it's not just my campaign where everyone gets the "Healing Belt" as soon as possible? That item is a great piece of equipment and one that I find most DMs don't even bat an eye when players request it.

Another item I found people like IMC are Steadfast boots (MIC 138) - for a 5th level item, this thing keeps on giving all the way to 20th...

Throw more fireballs at the players. Nat 1 will show up and waste all these items. Harhar.

Me like throwing fireballs.
