This reminds me that I'm finding 4e's Radiant vs Necrotic much easier to deal with!

Mhm. Actually, I don't like the radiant type very much. It's less well defined than any of the other types. Sometimes it's just a kind of 'brilliant energy', sometimes it's 'astral' stuff, sometimes 'life energy', etc.
