Possible Sig Solution?

It occured to me that one way to limit the problems some people have with sigs and loading times for pages (and perhaps slowness of boards) might be to adjust some of the defaults to the options on the sigs. I'm not personally having any difficulties, but I wonder if there can be a default font size set to 1, which could still be changed if needed, and a default size to images allowed? Just a couple of thoughts...

Or maybe a "show/hide signatures" setting?

Not that they bother me personally.

When you make a post, there's always the little box that is already checked to show your signature.

If that box were defaulted to not having a check in there, I think we'd have a whole lot less sig problems, just from people forgetting to click the box all the time.

That's how it was when I got onto my first messageboard, and sigs weren't nearly as big a problem as they are now.
