Which PrCs have become obsolete or underpowered after 3.5 came out? (WotC and non-WotC products)

True Necromancer - Compared to the Mystic Theurge. I made a sort of hybrid TN/MT which you should see in my drow rogues gallery thread in a few days.

(Edit: Coupled with the fact that the create undead spells are now on the Sor/Wiz spell lists.)

Wow, I agree with Psion. This makes two times. Either I am getting old or Psion is getting right. :p

:)

I'm wondering what else I was right about?

More -
almost any class that combined fighting and spellcasting (which previously tended to slow down both advancements) is outclassed by the Eldritch Knight. Like Badaxe Games' Veteran Wizard. I do think that such classes were perhaps a bit weak, but that the right balance lies somewhere in the middle. (Takes a look around to see is jasamcarl is going to come in here and tell me how wrongheaded I am.)

Yep. Between the Eldritch Knight, Bladesinger, Spellsword, and who knows what 3rd party PrCs are out there, I think the seamless Fighter/Wizard archetype has been covered ad nauseum. As far as my favorite of the lot, I gotta give props to the Bladedancer that Claudio Pozas put together.

Actually, it is pretty nifty, and he does have a nice little angle with going towards the more agility-oriented abilities.

And he does some great pics avatars, too. ;)

With the revised Monk, and the Complete Warrior (wits its Tattooed Monk and Kensai), essentially all Monk variants have been rendered obsolete.

Why, thanks, Psion (and TiQuinn)! :)

IMO, the PrClass that is begging for a makeover is the Arcane Archer. Now that arrow+bow bonuses don't stack and DR isn't based on plusses, the Arcane Archer just wasted the whole Enchant Arrow thing.

Hmm... I can see a new Dragon's Breath article coming...

Hmmm... but special qualities still stack. Maybe a simple fix would be to allow the arcane archer to pick a new special quality up to the designated plus at each level they get one, and can apply them up to their current total plusses. So at high levels, you can choose to do brilliant energy arrows and that sort of thing. ;)
