Post 30th level - If/When Wizards reaches 'beyond epic', what will happen?

How well did the Epic Level Handbook sell? How long did epic level campaigns last beyond 30?
I am not sure there will be enough of a demand for super high level play to warrant a WotC book. Third party? Sure, but levels 1-30 will be WotC's focus.

Or an angel gets his wings? (and that angel is YOU!)

One of the epic destinies seem to be related to reincarnation - if that's what everybody picks, you get to start again at 1st level! :)

If you end up as some kind of king, god or immortal, the "only" thing needed for play now would be some more powers to go with that. Which could be done in an "The Eternal Path" book. I think the lack of a definite end would make it impossible to create powers that lost forever, though. (I think that might be one of the reasons for the Epic Spellcasting Rules).

And I'm fine with that, especially considering that in my 20 years with this bizarre game I have yet to DM or play a character above 16th level or so.

Likewise, and that's even counting the days when my friends and I were playing practically every other day when we were kids.

The highest level PC in my homebrewed game of 15 years is 14th level.

The usual options are Raid, PvP, or grind for your epic mount, but all are kinda dull.

okay, bad joke :P
