Well, this was formerly Fred Delles (for the 1.5 people who knew me), a poster and lurker, though I mostly did the latter. But that previous account somehow went bad (I could log in, but not post, and I believe that I didn't violate anything...?), and now, I'm stuck with an all-new account.
I wanted to do a statistical experiment that I always wanted to try since I first began D&D (which was in college only three years ago). It is all correlations of race, gender, and physical/mental attributes.
So, I would like the following data:
The name (optional)
The gender (required, important)
The race (required, though not too important)
The stats (Str, Dex, Con, Int, Wis, Cha - all definitely required).
The class (entirely optional - but ONLY ONE primary class.)
Anything else that might be of help.
Post one, two, or a whole bunch! The more, the merrier.
The rules:
1. 3e ONLY. Convert to 3e if you need to.
2. Significant "adventuring" PCs/NPCs only. No low-level commoners, experts, or other noncombatants. High-level experts and the like... go on ahead.
3. To save time and space, I don't need any character history.
4. Avoid using random-generated PCs unless you tweaked their stats.
5. Keep with the main races (human, elf, half-elf, dwarf, gnome, halfling, half-orc; FR-style subraces are okay).
6. Raw stats only. No item or inherent modifications (gauntlets of ogre power, wish spells, etc.)
As soon as I get enough data (100 valid characters?), I will run a series of statistical tests to tell character preferences based on race, gender, possibly class, and the stats given to each. Thank you for your consideration.
