Hi again. Been away a long time. Life and busy and all that. :D Anyway -- POST YOUR FAVORITE STORY HOURS! With links! Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now since I am being naughty and staying up but let me just say: TALES OF WYRE by Sephulchrave and jonrog1's DARK*MATTER story hour are definately ones that come to mind.

Did Kamakaze Midget or Teflon Billy ever do story hours? They're my favorite posters so I figure any they did would rock.

But yeah, post links to your favorite story hours here and give a little summary or teaser or whatever to get us to click. Feel free to pimp yourself in here too.

Haven't read much, but one I've read completely through, even though it's extremely long. That's El-Remmen's (formerly known as Nemmerle) "Out of the Frying Pan". Really worth it, both in writing and the actual campaign described. Finds a nice balance between creative writing and game report as well.

I did one for my first Mutants and Masterminds campaign...i think it reads pretty well, but it was just too much effort to keep current

HAI BILLY.

http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=157788 -- Come vote on the PbP I run and then play in it. ;) It'll be like a story hour in progress. But make sure you realize that you've gotta post in the thread for your vote to count cuz I only care about people who care enough to post.

A good one I read recently and enjoyed is Welcome to the Halmae: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=42423

And it's updated fairly regularly.

Seems like most of the "classics" of the SH forum (defined as the ones I was reading about a year ago ;) ) have either gone inactive or aren't updated frequently enough to bother with more than dropping in every few months or so to see what's new. Some of the "classics" in my view include (not going to link them all) Sepulchrave's Wyre saga (the SH, worth a read although apparently dead short of a final resolution, compiled at http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=58227), Piratecat's (still alive? haven't seen it on the front page in a while), Old One's Faded Glory (not updated since July), Capellan's In Hextor's Name (complete), WizardRu's (still active), Rel's Faded Glory (appears inactive), Wulf's SH (buried many pages down but worth searching out), Blackdirge's demon story (recently updated after many months of quiescene), and (contact)'s Liberation of Tenh (last updated in April). Some of the above authors have other threads that are also worth a look.

i echo lazy's thoughts insofar as the SH board seeming to have had a huge turnover. dave-o, it sounds like you were around when the classics were becoming classics (pcat, sep, destan, capellan (one of my favourites), wulf, et al.) you could do a lot worse than picking any one of them, as you would not have to endure the pain of inactivity - at least until you finished reading. if you want one of the newer crop of stories, im afraid im not the one to give advice as ive dropped away from that board. even those the classics are inactive, they still get bumped, so they should be within the first 1-3 pages.

The one in my sig is great! It chronicles our adventures in diaglo's OD&D campaign.

And only the first several posts are by me. Stick with it, the writing gets better once howandwhy99 takes over.

I read a lot of 'em off and on.

Currently I'm really hip on Wizardru's story hour, Q-Ship and Sagiro's SH.

Also, I write several and most of them are frequently updated. [/pimp]
