Soccer's native in .eu . Basketball's the American import they've picked up (though not so much in Scandanavia and thereabouts), even if they're not as obsessed with the game as we are (at least in March, anyway). Granted, the Japanese obsess over their favorite American import (baseball)...

You run into problems when you make broad, sweeping generalizations. Baseball's the American import sport of choice in a few countries in northern South America, but it's basketball in Argentina and Brazil, and those are the biggies.
