I voted on "waiting 'till later," but it's not entirely accurate. My girlfriend ordered her copy from Amazon and it should be here tomorrow, and knowing her, it'll be done by Saturday night/Sunday morning... when I get to swipe it. :)

And I don't mind waiting a day, especially since we both started re-reading the first six this past week - she started Monday, and I waited 'till Wednesday night, so I should finish book 6 about the same time she finishes the new one.

While I did pre-order it and all that good stuff, I also screwed up. I forgot to change my Amazon shipping address from work to home. I generally get packages at work since I don't like them left on my stoop. Since nobody will be here to receive the package on Saturday, I wait till Monday. I only thought of this issue on Wednesday and by then it was too late to change things. Grr.

I've only seen the movies so far. I am planning on getting and reading the books but I am waiting for a boxed set of the entire series to be released.

We pre-ordered, but cant pay extra for the shipping. So unless UPS is on the ball, ours will show up a little later than anyone else's copy.

As far as past volumes go, we've pre-ordered, we've done the library wait list thing, and we've bought later on. The only thing that we wont do is get bound up in the fuss and bother that standing in line and going to potter parties entails.

I'm picking the book up on Monday morning, as I will be out of town this weekend.

Don't need it the first day, but I would like it in the first week or two. ;)

Going to the party at Borders tonight, though that's more the gf's enthusiasm than anything else. I like the books and all, just not as well as she does. But that's fine too, any excuse to go to Borders is fine with me. :)
