Preparations for Super Bowl LIX?

I'm preparing for my twenty-fifth annual Super Bowl Eve viewing of Any Given Sunday this coming weekend before watching the Big Game the following day, even though I have no particular rooting interest for either team.

So for those of you who are looking forward to watching Super Bowl LIX, how are you preparing for the game, both the day before and the day of?

The Fancy Special Nachos.

Four kinds of cheese shredded from the block. Use the broiler on the oven for the perfect crisp. Just using this week to test which salsa I want to use.

Though I’ve watched Any Given Sunday the day before the Super Bowl (Saturday) for most of the past 25 years, there’ve been a few years when that Saturday’s schedule was so congested that I instead watched it two days before the Super Bowl (Friday). This is one of those years.

In any case, I just finished watching my Any Given Sunday stream on Prime Video and am now fully prepared to watch this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

I have a couple buddies that come over tonight and we play a small 1 minute qtr Madden tournament. Used to be an all Saturday afternoon and night event but that was 20 years ago and families and life and people moving has cut it to a small group that starts at 8pm

I think we have a decent spread of food for the game. I make jalapeño poppers that aren’t great every year! So that will be my food addition

I think part of the fun is if somethings are just tradition even if they are not great.

My Nachos are a passion project, but I'll also cook up some mediocre store brand mini pizza bagles. Not cause they are great just cause they fit the mood.
