Pounce Question?

Can a creature pounce more than once in a combat if it is against different opponents?

Furthermore, can you only pounce during the first round of combat? Is that right?

I'm talking about a Griffon here...

Pounce now works whenever the creature Charges, not only on the first round of combat (updated in MMII).

From the WotC boards:

"Skip Williams has indicated that he considers this change "semi-official errata" that should probably be retroactively applied to all previous creatures with the pounce ability."

Thought I'd add a question to this thread due to some of the other's I've read.... i.e. Hellcat and Lion's Charge...

If you apply the MMII rule and you assume the creature must charge to get the pounce and therefore the full-round attacks, then are all of the attacks at a +2 bonus?

Most only allow the +2 for a charge to be on the first attack.

Why is that? Is the rule for all of them or just the first one?

It looks like it should be all of the attacks, but I'm not sure.

When you have to charge for pounce, than the +2 should be for all attacks ... just because you charge
... when you do the same thing twice why should it be handled differently

People on either side have good points. Mostly it comes down to balance and that any charge bonuses should only apply to the first attack.

Otherwise the Singe Rager or anyone under the ridiculous effects of this Lions Charge spell straps on Rino Hide armor and is horribly broken.
