Power ATtack + Ability damage/drain?

1) Is there any creature that both has the ability to do ability damage or ability drain on its attack and has the ability to get power attack?

2) If so, would using power attack and getting a successful hit result in more ability drain/damage?

3) As a variant, what about Sneak Attack, running the same two questions as above?

Any creature with high enough Strength can pick up Power Attack. So pick a creature that has 13+ Str and fits the ability damage/drain criteria and you're good to go. Or pick a weaker creature and give it class levels (and hence, improved stats). Lots of options.

No. Power Attack increases how much hit pt damage you cause.

Power Attack wouldn't increase Sneak Attack damage, but since you need to actually do damage to also cause sneak attack damage, Power Attack would help the base attack do more damage.

Ability damage or drain are only improved via critical hits. Power attack and sneak attack will increase the amount of damage done, but not ability damage/drain. You'd be better served to get a draining creature with a +8 BAB and get improved critical, natural weapons. There may be something in LM or SS that will improve drain damage...yep, LM has empowered ability damage and improved energy drain.

Huh??

My understanding is that the sneak attack damage is applied normally and counts for purposes of (f'rex) penetrating damage reduction. Am I misunderstanding you, or are you saying that the rogue has to penetrate DR before sneak attack kicks in? Do you have a reference for this?

I think this might actually work. ewwww. Even if it does, I would not allow it.

Thankfully most things that stat whack are Str 0 critters...

POWER ATTACK [GENERAL]Prerequisite: Str 13.

Benefit: On your action, before making attack rolls for a round, you may choose to subtract a number from all melee attack rolls and add the same number to all melee damage rolls. This number may not exceed your base attack bonus. The penalty on attacks and bonus on damage apply until your next turn.

Special: If you attack with a two-handed weapon, or with a one-handed weapon wielded in two hands, instead add twice the number subtracted from your attack rolls. You can’t add the bonus from Power Attack to the damage dealt with a light weapon (except with unarmed strikes or natural weapon attacks), even though the penalty on attack rolls still applies. (Normally, you treat a double weapon as a one-handed weapon and a light weapon. If you choose to use a double weapon like a two-handed weapon, attacking with only one end of it in a round, you treat it as a two-handed weapon.)

A fighter may select Power Attack as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Strength Damage (Su): The touch of a shadow deals 1d6 points of Strength damage to a living foe. A creature reduced to Strength 0 by a shadow dies. This is a negative energy effect.

Sorry, I phrased that badly. Sneak Attack does count for penetrating DR.

No, I got it. What you were saying is PA increases the base damage only, it isn't added on the sneak attack as well. So a 3rd-level rogue, Str 14 using power attack 2 would do the following damage with a normal spear on a sneak attack: 1d8 + 3 (str) + 2 (PA) + 2d6 (sneak attack)

The power attack bonus damage does not affect the sneak attack damage.

Yup. I could just have been clearer about it.

uh, no. "Ability damage" and "melee damage" are different things. To me, anyway.
