Thanks for incorporating some of the changes I suggested in this latest release (frex: player and DM maps to preserve secrets). I just bought it and will post my thoughts in a few after I have a chance to check it out! :)

Brian, have I told you that your previous floorplan pdfs rawk my world?

No?

That's because they don't NO! SORRY! WRONG PUNCHLINE!
I mean, terrible oversight, that. They're absolutely great.

Thanks very much for your compliments, they are very greatly appreciated. And as always, please continue to let me know your suggestions, comments, and criticisms, because they help shape Darkfuries products.

They obviously do, and it is truly to your credit that you are so willing to consider and incorporate customer suggestions into your products. :) I'm sure I'll be buying future Darkfuries releases.

Any hint as to what's next?

any hint to what's next?...

Floorplans of buildings comprising complete settlements, from small to large, and a mixture of other specialized floorplans (ie Inns & Taverns, etc).

Over the past 20 years, I've been designing my own campaign setting. It now includes some 360 cities and large towns on the main continent. I'll be using them as a foundation of detailed City Floorplans sourcebooks.

Hi Brian,

Will these print out easily at one square = 1"?

I was unable to do that with the Inns & Taverns sample without doing some mighty strange rescaling that gave all the lines jaggies all over.

Hi drnuncheon,

strange rescaling?
When you printed the floorplan, did you resize it before trying to print, or did you try a "printing scale" or "fit to page" in the print/page setup of your art program? You shouldn't need to resize the image itself, just change the printing scale before printing.

I don't know your preferred art program of choice, but when you specify the scale factor for the image in the page setup before printing, ensure that you're keeping the ratio the same, (ie, so you don't end up with a stretched image). Other that that, the images should print very cleanly.

But as far as printing at one square = 1"...

If you're planning to print on standard 8.5"x11"paper, that'd mean none of the floorplans could be any larger than 40'x 55', unless you print them on multiple sheets. Most of the floorplan dimensions are larger than 40'x55'. Unless I create them all in a standard size, which would drastically increase filesizes for smaller floorplans, the floorplans are going to print out at different sizes, depending on your art program's printing scale.

If you're wanting to print at one square = 1", I would suggest scaling the printed size of the image in page setup (again, depending on your art program of choice), until you have eight squares per printed page width. You should be able to see this in print preview before actually printing, and adjust your scale accordingly to achieve what you want.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know.

Best regards,
