[PR] Enchiridion of Treasures and Objects d'Art is here (finally)!

Phillip's books and my book fill slightly different niches...

Phillip's are "pull from book and plop into campaign." Kind of a meal that has already been cooked and garnished and seasoned and all you have to do is eat.

Mine are slightly more "cook-bookish" - I provide you with flour and sugar and herbs and veggies and oil and pots and pans and then walk you through the principles of using them. You can cook a lot stuff with mine, but there's a little work involved on your end, too... you start with a "basic" item then (in essence) slap a template or two or three or four on top of it. Takes a few minutes to prepare, but slightly more customizable.

Both are good, but for different reasons and different situations, I think. I loved Phillip's stuff.

Happy to hear it.

I agree with the descriptions of both product "lines." And there's no reason not to use them together in a campaign.

Right. Specifically what I'm after is to fill out a dragon's treasure horde with something other than piles of coins, +1 swords, and rings of protection. I mean, dragons accumulate this stuff from the local populace over hundreds of years. Lots of detail and thought should go into that dragon horde.

And I do believe both products will help me do that quite nicely.

FWIW, and many who have the product may have missed this, there is a link in the product (which I don't feel at all bad giving out) to about 800 pictures of gems (taken by myself, and you'll note that on the linked page, I have given permission for re-use). They're not the best (I am not a professional photographer by any means and my time was limited) around, but YOU CAN USE THEM!

I was originally planning on dropping these into the EoTaOdA but realized that doing so at any decent resolution would shoot the filesize through the ceiling - so I relented.

Not all the gems in the EoTaOdA have pictures here - and not all the gems pictured here have entries in the EoTaOdA - but I think there should be plenty of "eye candy" for you to swipe and use in your own games.
