[PR] Librum Equitis 2 EXPANDED

HellHound

ENnies winner and NOT Scrappy Doo
We have updated Librum Equitis 2 to include some material that mysteriously disappeared during one of our draft versions.

Denise was looking through the final edition and asked "honey, what happened to the Mind Thief class I helped write?". And I sez "Gee... I have no freakin' clue!?". So we dig through the old draft editions, and on the OLD computer we come across a draft edition that contained material that didn't make it into the final run.

To celebrate the return of our lost classes and domains, we made an updated cover and have re-released the whole kit and kaboodle (and shipped off expansion packs to those buyers who picked up the first run).

Jungles of the mind details a long-dead psionic civilization and a big adventure within the civilization's "sacred city". The Goal is to create a psionic-based module that can be used in a non-psionic campaign, under the assumption that the psionic civilization was the only psionically-endowed group of humans on the planet in question. (Of course, it also supports game worlds where psionics are available, but we are making every effort to make the module fun and playable for non-psionic groups).

The first half of the module is a fairly unashamed re-make of Apocalypse Now, followed by a classic D&D "ruins hunting" adventure. The ruins portion of the module is VERY open-ended, with many encounters based on party actions instead of rail-roading (as per a classic dungeon-style module).

We are having fun building it up, with Denise (the Ambient CEO) as the primary designer and writer and myself doing the d20 bits.

No specific release date right now, we are JUST putting some stuff together for some print releases as we speak. Then we will get to work on LE3 and Jungles.

LE2 will have sample characters for each class. Don't think there will be much more additional material than that. (Except maybe some feats and items to flesh out said characters)

Print version? Yes?

Can I assume that this'll be in print format sometime? I picked up volume 1 a few weeks ago, and was pretty impressed with it. I'd hate for it to get lonely on my bookshelf without a print version of volume 2 snuggled next to it.

I am glad you enjoyed the first one. It is also the first colaboration between Mystic Eye Games and Ambient inc so volume two will be even better when it gets to the print market.

So, the answer is yes, vol 2 is going to be printed but we are currently reworking our schedule to shuffle in the Thunderhead Games lines and will have an update pretty soon.

(Now that the ENnie voting is over, I can voice my opinion:)

What about Gar'Udok? I remember that (especially) as a flavorful, well-written tome chock-full of crunchiness. For those who think "crunchy bits" is a bit passé, I suggest you pick up GULuNA before you give up on crunchies... it'll change your mind. Best parts? The cairn dragon and 'Adapting Gar'Udok to Your Game' pagelong sidebar. Worst part? Long, faux-OE title.

Though I have a copy already, if it was printed I think I'd get another.

(This reminds me, HH: I wanted to talk to you about the Cairn Dragon. Let me compose my thoughts and send you an email.

Hey Charles, If your asking if we are taking Gar'Udok to print the answer is absolutely. It is in editing now and is expanded over the original. Jake even added information that makes it work with a certain GR products' OGC.
We are also working on the art now too! It iwill be fantastic.
