I know of no book covering specific terrains. I'd probably buy a book on deserts in a heartbeat. Hopefully I'll still be running my campaign then...
I don't know of one that's already out there, but they're coming.
In addition to Hal's
Dry Lands book, MonkeyGod Enterprises has a series of books scheduled -- well, perhaps
planned would be a better word, since I don't know how far along any of these books may be just now -- to cover various environments. The first of them,
Frost & Fur: An Explorer's Guide to the Frozen Lands should be out in January.
Other volumes are in the works to cover deserts, mountains, swamps, jungle, woodlands, etc. These are described by the publisher as 160+ page hardcovers, detailing environmental hazards and conditions as well as writeups of environmentally appropriate cultures (Eskimos and Slavs in the Arctic book, e.g.), and the inevitable feats, spells, and prestige classes.
